Annuska

Position: Practice Manager
Qualifications:  B.AGRIC degree in Animal Production large stock & small stock
​Experience: Annuska has been in the veterinary profession for 10 years and moved to Alice Springs from South Africa in December 2024. 
Special Interests: She has a special interest in Reptiles & was a show judge for the South African Boerboel Breeder's Society
Hobbies: Hiking, nature photography, painting and Annuska also loves to cook
Pets: She recently adopted a kitten from the kitten programme here at Alice Vet Centre, her name is ironically Alice, AKA Widdles

Britany

Position: Senior Clinical Nurse
Qualifications:  Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (DipVN) (RVN), Advanced Progamme Veterinary Nursing Exotic Species (APVN Small Mammal & Avian)
​Experience: Britany has been in the veterinary profession since 2015. Having trained in Wales, UK, she made the decision to move to Australia in 2022 where she originally worked in Sydney at a specialist hospital focusing on in-patient care and exotic pets. In October 2023, Britany joined the team at Alice Veterinary Centre and has since discovered a new love for Equine nursing and remote community work
Special Interests: She has a special interest in all weird and wonderful animals which encouraged her to enroll on the advanced programme in veterinary nursing for Zoo, Exotics & wildlife. Emergency care is also one of her passions.
Hobbies: When not in her scrubs, Britany enjoys playing rugby, weight lifting, horse riding & hiking.
Pets: Britany owns two dogs- Mabli, a little camp dog hand-reared from a few days old & a Dingo cross named Arlo

Madeleine

Position: Store Manager / Student Veterinary Nurse
Qualifications: Studying Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing
Experience: Maddie joined us in 2018 as Alice Vet Centre's first Kennel Hand. She became an important member of the team and now training to be a fully qualified veterinary nurse. She has a passionate interest in Remote Animal Management, and horse care. Maddie ensures that your little furry friend receives the creature comforts they deserve
Special Interests: Horse- Western Club 
Hobbies: Spending time with her Horses, camping and adventures in her Cruiser
​Pets: 
Maddie owns 2 Horses, Charlie & Voodoo. She also has a collection of rescue animals- Nacho, Fettucine, Piglet and Cruskit (her Dogs), and Mamacita & Noodle the Cats.

Alastair

Position: Veterinary Nurse
​
Qualifications:  Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (RVN)
Experience: Alastair began his career in 2018 at a vet clinic in Sydney. There he learned the wide variety of roles a vet nurse is tasked with and how essential a vet nurse is in the veterinary team. From x-rays, surgeries, nursing patients and meeting people and their pets, there are many areas he enjoys thoroughly.
After achieving Certificate IV in veterinary nursing, Alastair signed up to the Vet Nurse Council of Australia to continue his education and registered under the AVNAT scheme in order to help provide the gold standard in patient care for our furry family members. Alastair worked in a vet clinic in Tasmania for some years until he eventually became tired of the frosty Tasmanian winters and wanted a change in scenery. Alice Springs has been a welcome change for him.
Special Interests: Alastair has a special interest in animal dentistry, radiographs and parvovirus patient management 
Hobbies: 
Hiking, video games, cars, movies and music

Kendyl

Position: Veterinary Nurse
​Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Nursing 
Special Interests: Kendyl has been in the Veterinary profession for 5 years, originally starting her career in New Zealand, then Vietnam for 1 year. In January 2024 we were lucky enough for her to join our team. She is currently studying the ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing, she has a huge interest in anything Feline and is our go to Nurse for this area. She also has a keen interest in intensive care, nursing our sickest patients back to health
Hobbies: Hockey, cricket, reading, travelling and walking her Dog Blaze
​Pets: Kendyl has a menagerie of Animals in her household. Three Cats named Sylvie, Rick and Louis (All rescues from the clinic), Blaze who flew all the way from New Zealand to join her family here in Alice and 4 Chickens, rescued from Papunya.

Lisa

​Position: Veterinary Nurse
​Qualifications: Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (NZ)
Experience: Lisa spent almost 8 wonderful years working as a Veterinary Nurse in New Zealand, where she developed a strong foundation in animal care and built lasting relationships with clients and their pets. She recently moved to Alice Springs in search of new challenges, unique experiences, and the chance to grow both personally and professionally in a truly special part of the world
Special Interests: 
Hobbies: 
Outside of work, you'll often find Lisa dancing, listening to music, or curled up with a good book. All things that bring her joy and help her stay balanced
​Pets: 
Lisa doesn't currently have any pets of her own, but she lives with a lovely dog named Mala and a sweet cat named Lili, who make every day brighter

Jade

Position: Student Veterinary Nurse 
​Qualifications: Studying Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing
Experience: Jade joined the team in 2024 
Special Interests: Large Animals, Native Wildlife & Exotic species  
Hobbies: Reading
​Pets: Jade owns 5 Animals! Hamish & Sambo her 2 Cats, Newt & Copper her 2 Dingos, and Possum the Blue & Gold Macaw

Lizzie 

​Position: Kennel Hand
​Qualifications: Currently studying Cert III in Animal Care 
Experience: Lizzie joined the team in 2024   
Special Interests: 
Lizzie would love to pursue a career as a Veterinary Nurse and is interested in learning more about exotic species & Equine. Remote Aboriginal Community work also sparks an interest & she is keen to explore this area when she eventually qualifies. Lizzie also has an admiration for classic cars, mainly Holdens (like her mum!). Lizzie is an Alice Springs local but also enjoys exploring other parts of Australia. 
Hobbies: 
Lizzie loves arts & crafts, listening to music, going for drives and taking in the scenery, she also enjoys spending time outside with her Cats.
​Pets: 
Lizzie owns 2 Cats- Smokey who is a gorgeous Siamese x who is such a lap Cat, and Peanut, who loves to play fight with his favorite toy Raccoon. Both are rescues from the clinic!
